માતૃભાષા વંદના યાત્રાનું બીજ કઈ રીતે રોપાયું ? Matrix News દક્ષિણ ભારતની એક અંગ્રેજી માધ્યમની શાળામાં માતૃભાષા તેલુગુમાં વાત કરનાર ભૂલકાંઓને ગળામાં ‘સોરી’ લખેલું પાટિયું લટકાવી શાળામાં ફરવું પડયું હતું. માતૃભાષા ઉપરના આ કુઠારાઘાતથી વ્યથિત ચિંતક ગુણવંતભાઈ શાહને માતૃભાષાના ગૌરવ માટે ચળવળ શરૂ કરવાનો વિચાર આવ્યો અને એ રીતે માતૃભાષા વંદનાયાત્રાનું આયોજન થયું.
